Quizlet and Socrative: working together
As a quick postscript to last Friday's eCafe, I'd like to thank student teacher Emma-Jayne Turner for once again coming along at 7.45 am on a Friday morning and contributing to our learning conversations. Last week she shared how she has used Quizlet in her Yr 9 History class. She also showed Gavin and I how she uses the same information to create a Socrative Quiz. Brilliant. While Quizlet is really good for learning information and testing that knowledge, its strength is that it can be used anytime as an individual activity. Perfect for Prep!
Socrative, while using the same information, needs teacher input. A quiz can be set up, monitored by the teacher and then closed off at a certain time. It also monitors how many questions students have finished.
These are just two tools that once set up, can be used by several classes and shared with colleagues. Students can create their own quizes and share with other students. Quizlet can also be embedded in Class Resources.
